Ministry Report – Creation Evangelism for India
The first Global Advance Apologetics conference was held in Visakhapatnam, India on January 15 – 18, 2007. The conference was held on the Christ for India campus in conjunction with the COTR seminary. 450 pastors and seminary students attended Monday evening through Thursday sessions.

The purpose of the conference was to bring current Biblical and Scientific Creation information to these key workers to build their faith and equip them for evangelism in the truth and authority of the Bible and to support missions and ministries in India in general through Global Advance and Christ for India.
Darin Ivanov of Christ the Creator - Christ the Savior ministry of Bulgaria and I were the conference presenters. Darin and I have been involved in Creation speaking and outreach for over twenty-five years combined.

Printed materials for the conference were approved by Answers in Genesis, the largest worldwide Apologetics ministry. This included translation, printing and distribution of the booklet “Is There Really a God?” in Telegu, the official language of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Christian Worldview Outreach provided funds for translating and printing of thousands of these booklets to be distributed through the network of churches and ministries of Christ for India. This has become a part of the worldwide effort being launched by Answers in Genesis to bring the wealth of recent apologetics material available in English to language groups around the world. A conference packet of notes and additional articles in English were also provided and funded by CWO. Additional translating and printing projects have been discussed throughout the year that this conference has been planned. It is exciting to see great resources brought to the growing church in India.

The subjects of the sessions over four days covered a wide range of subjects of interest to the conference attendees in both Biblical and Scientific Creationism including:
- Which Holy book? Why the Bible and not any other?”
- Can you trust the scientists?
- Successes with Creation Evangelism in Bulgaria and the US
- Numerous real life examples of Creation Evangelism including natives of India with various scientific and religious backgrounds
- Examples of Creation evidences from India and surrounding countries.
- Why it matters? – How evolution has taken over the scientific establishment of the world and the resulting effects on society.
- Many scriptural references with discussion supporting the authority of God’s Word.
- An extensive discussion of modern evidences of Scientific Creationism
- Tools for reaching the lost with Creation Evangelism with real world examples.
Interest appeared to be strong as the audience was attentive and there were many questions especially from individuals between sessions.
The conference was presented in multimedia format using Power Point presentations with modern graphics and pictures. Translation into Telegu was used in all sessions.
Donations were made by the presenting ministries to the CFI library including books, booklets and videos especially for research by seminary students. There were discussions about providing additional materials to the library. References for future Internet research were provided to the conference in general as this region is growing very fast in technology and global connections.

As would be expected in such a fruitful environment the vision of Christian Worldview Outreach has grown and perhaps focused as a result of this groundbreaking conference. One thing that has been confirmed from previous outreaches is this type of ministry brings ministries together. It is exciting to see the cooperation of so many veterans of the mission field in supporting this new and timely outreach. Future conferences of this type can be held anywhere the infrastructure is in place. We are especially interested in a nationwide Apologetics conference in Sofia, Bulgaria. There are about 1200 churches in Bulgaria and Darin has laid the ground work for a truly productive meeting. There is also interest in a more academic conference in Sofia especially targeting Physicians. The idea has surfaced that smaller seminars might be attached to larger general conferences to target more educated groups including teachers and seminary students.
In the long run the largest growth in Christianity comes from the youth. Creation Evangelism includes education in all areas of knowledge and the methods to train the young with a Christian/Biblical worldview. To open the doors to the educational process it is helpful to reach scientific and academic leaders. We should continue to pray and discuss strategies for bringing our message and materials in effective outreach missions.
