Report from Bulgaria

Creation Evangelist Darin Ivanov reports from Bulgaria I was finally invited at the biggest event for the youth movement New Wave and part form the DVD's that we produced have been shown to all the youth. There were about 2000 young people. I will send you short video clips and pictures later. The organisers trust me and they will be inviting me for their future events that last few days to be conducting workshops on apologetics for few days in a raw. God is really opening a very big door to affect all the best Evangelical youth in Bulgaria with the best of creation evangelism. I pray and see many ways to be a blessing for them for the future. I am gateful to God that we can have such a huge impact for Him. I have many encouraging news about how God uses the Answers Book series for kids in Turkish. More and more missionaries and children's workers ask me to supply them and they use them with good success. More recently a German sister that ministers to kids all over Bulgaria by the name Ulrike M… have received 60 sets and was very excited. I have twice already provided amounts to Turkish people outreach and church in Belgium. The feedback from the first donation came from a Turkish sister called Ilknur and it was great and I was very encouraged. One other good news is now I am teaching our church teens in Ruse using my creation evanglism power points. There are other news to share, but I will save some for my next mail!

Creation Evangelism is reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by showing them that the Bible is God’s Word and is true all the way back to the first verse. This can be done through presentations individually or in groups and by distributing literature that shows people the truth about areas of knowledge like history and science. There are many in this world that use man’s ideas about these subjects to try to discredit God’s Word and this has been going on since the beginning. Christians and unbelievers alike are deceived and it is our job to teach them the truth. Many have just never heard anyone explain that the Bible contains the true history of the world and lines up with proper science. They quickly come to knowledge of the truth of God’s Word as confusion and strongholds are torn down. Join us in this Great Commission work. Report from Darin Ivanov

Darin Ivanov reports a very successful tour with Dr. Terry Mortenson of Answers in Genesis this fall. It was Darin’s involvement in an Answers in Genesis tour ten years ago that gave rise to this ministry that has grown to cover all of Bulgaria and is reaching out into surrounding countries.

An excerpt from Darin’s reports: ?First of all I have good news to share about the feedback from the tour with Terry. Many Christians were put on fire to use creation evangelism and were strengthened in their faith in the Word. We have given away so many of the Answers Book for Kids sets (in Bulgarian) and the impact is great. I had some pastors specifically travelling to Ruse later to get more of the sets as they find them so helpful and good. In Sofia we've met with Terry with the student union leaders who were from the Biological faculty of the Sofia University. They were all hardcore atheists, but very bright and open for a debate. I think we have surprised them totally as they have been expecting "religious fanatics" that will give them only theological arguments and you know we are not like that. They were shaken to the core in my opinion and wanted to get more into the "creationism". I provided books in English and creation magazines, DVD's and journal TJ. I believe God is touching some very key young people here. This is just one small example of all that is going on.? Darin translates for Terry in lecture hall of the Ruse Public University?? (right)

Answers Book for Kids series in Bulgarian

Answers Book for Kids series in Turkish

Darin is having great success building a Biblical Worldview in the spiritually hungry in post communist Bulgaria with the Answers Book for Kids series in Bulgarian and other great Creation materials he has been teaching with and distributing for the last 10 years. There have been outreaches to surrounding countries (see newsletter archives) and these efforts are getting ready to bear even greater fruit. The Answers Book for Kids series is now translated into Turkish and is ready to print. With $5,000 we can print 1,000 of each of the four books and begin to make inroads into the Turkish population in Bulgaria. The Every Home for Christ world prayer map lists Turkey as having 0% evangelical Christians. As Bulgaria and Turkey share a border the Turkish population in Bulgaria is a great way to reach into this Islamic country.

Darin has several connections to ministries in Romania with extensive networks in that post communist country that are ready to translate and distribute Creation Evangelism materials. Darin has developed a pattern of how whole countries can be reached with the gospel through Creation Evangelism and we can do that quickly in Romania. For instance he had placed translated DVDs at TV stations over the last few years and a solid gospel message shared with Creation materials was broadcast all over Bulgaria last Easter. People in post communist countries are very hungry for the gospel especially when presented with logic and supporting evidence. The doors are open, the fields are white, and the laborers are few.
