Dear partners of CWO,
So many things have happened in Darin’s Apologetics ministry in Bulgaria and surrounding countries it is hard for me to keep up. I feel selfish in that I have not shared more with you, please forgive me. I hope you will enjoy this summary.
Darin has partnered with a lot of other ministries to bring Creation evangelism to a wide audience. I find that the same approach works here as well. Darin has partnered with Fane Conant, a journalist in London’s Sunday Times, from UK who works as an evangelist together with the Luis Palau ministry. They recently held three joint evangelistic events in Ruse, Razgrad and Svistov where Darin distributed about 400 booklets and about 100 creation films dubbed in Bulgarian. Darin reports “We saw God moving and souls saved. Many have specifically indicated in their response cards that they accepted Christ as their Savior for very first time. Our materials have been placed in the hands of people who form the public opinions in those cities and who actually run them as they are. What is more there was the man who is responsible for the religious education in one whole district. He oversees and trains the religion teachers inside the public school system. He was so much on fire to use the materials. He pleads with me to give him one set for all the 20 teachers that he cares for so that they can show them in their classes and also use them to prepare their lessons. That just begs one big - PRAISE GOD!!!” This is an example of the impact Darin’s ministry is having even in the public school system. Darin goes on to report, “I have calls from many places that the films I have supplied make real inroads for the Gospel in the hands of the churches, ministries and individual Christians. God is doing so much in so many ways. Just see what an impact we have when I copy and distribute films in my home and can you imagine what it would be on a national level when we are able to mass duplicate a selected set of the films I dub. The grip of the devil on our nation is beginning to loosen even though there is so much yet to be done, but we feel God’s confirmation and blessing of our efforts.”
Darin is talking about recent upgrades to his presenting and duplicating equipment that CWO partners have been able to help in supplying. We have also helped in providing a much newer used car to help in Darin’s extensive travel to spread the gospel in post communist Bulgaria. Thank you all and praise the Lord.
Other great news is that the CCC (Campus Crusade for Christ) ministry has adopted the strategy to have one set of our films traveling with every team that projects the movie “Jesus”. They have seen the value and now Darin will supply them and thus increase the exposure of the Creation Evangelism message many times as CCC has teams in every part of Bulgaria
Darin also traveled to Hungary in January to attend a training conference for CCC. This opened many more doors to spread the Creation Evangelism message to ministers in many countries. Darin reports making connections in Russia to our friend Sergei Golovin’s ministry. I have also been able to make references for Sergei’s ministry at a recent ministry conference. It is all about the Lord’s work and His kingdom. If we can build up someone else’s ministry that is what we do.
Darin recently traveled to Cypress for the purpose of training the youth in creation evangelism in the Church of God of Prophecy. He reports great success as the people there are very hungry for materials that stand for the authority of the Scripture and for use in reaching others for God. He has been invited back to Cypress in May to speak at churches in other denominations and also in university settings.
We are making plans for Darin to visit Texas in August. We are planning a dinner for you to meet Darin in person and learn much more about this amazing ministry. Please pray for us as there is much to do and we can do nothing without the Lord.
